Re: Surgical Technician job position
To whom it may concern:
Enclosed you will find my resume. I recently graduated and completed my clinical rotations from the Surgical Technology program at the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls, Idaho. If you are unfamiliar with this program at the College of Southern Idaho, it is one of the top rated programs in the Northwest.
Prior to attending the College of Southern Idaho I graduated from Capital High School in Boise, Idaho. Prior to graduation from high school I successfully completed twenty-one (21) college credits. These credits were earned from Boise State University and Idaho State University. During my high school tenure I also received my Emergency Medical Technician National Certification (Basic). During my first year at the College of Southern Idaho, I also successfully completed the Emergency Medical Technician (Advanced) program. Today I am certified by the NBSTSA for surgical technologists, NREMT Association for EMT’s, CPR/BLS certified, and member of the National and Idaho Association of Surgical Technology.
I am very interested in working in a hospital environment such as yours. Upon finishing this program I have completed more than 500 hours of clinical experience, including 147 scrub cases with 86 solo scrubs, working at the largest hospital in southern Idaho and other smaller hospitals and surgery centers in Twin Falls Idaho, Magic Valley area. I have scrubbed in on many procedures including orthopedic, ENT, general, obstetrics, ophthalmic, gynecological, urology, neurology, peripheral-vascular, and plastics. As you can see I have participated in all types of surgeries. These experiences include emergency and non-emergency situations. To go along with my extensive clinical work I have also accomplished a lot in the class room. I have completed over 95 college credits.
I chose this career because it allows me the opportunity to adapt to a diverse assortment of surgical challenges that I believe will be rewarding and allow me to grow my skill set over time. I’m very excited about the completion of my education and would be even more excited to have an opportunity to work for your organization.
