Experience History:

Casino Surveillance News: Consulting and training business, begun as a part-time activity in 2002 and carried to an $80,000/yr, debt-free business in 2009. Concurrent with last two conventional jobs.

* Created three-part Surveillance training program for the major Native American training institute, designed to bring staff from trainee to Director level. Revised their entire approach to training to an effective program, currently in use.

* Developed and wrote current Surveillance Standard Procedures Manual for major California card room casino for compliance to new state laws, approved by Gaming Control and adopted on first submission.

* Delivered custom training programs to over 40 private, corporate and Native American casinos, involving over 800 students in interactive training for increased effectiveness of Surveillance and Security operations.

* Delivered more than 15 open-enrollment seminars for individuals, with enrollees from casino surveillance, Native gaming control agencies, security and gaming management.

* Compiled and presented knowledge from my own experience and that of associates into fifty-plus specialized training classes which have been delivered in person by myself to Casino Surveillance, Security and Management: loss prevention in Table Games, Slots, casino financial operations, security, resulting in reduced losses and far more effective teamwork.

* Security and surveillance evaluations conducted for five clients resulting in major corrections in order to bring them up to regulatory compliance prior to inspections and increasing their capabilities to industry standard for improved effectiveness.

* First and longest-running internet newsletter for casino surveillance and security. Incorporating articles by myself and others, industry news, targeted advertising.

Surveillance Investigator/Supervisor, ACEP LLC (Stratosphere LV) 2004-2008

* Graveyard shift supervisor for three years, day shift lead investigator for one year, reporting to the General Manager through the Surveillance Manager. Corrected count room, drop, table games and slots procedures for reduced losses due to crooked staff and procedural errors.

* Coordinated major investigations into Poker, Table Games, Slots, and other areas of the casino. Due to my investigations and reports, crooked staff and lower level managers removed, resulting in reduced losses in these areas.

* Determined that an increased level of teamwork was needed between Table Games and Surveillance; designed, wrote and sold a program to management for increasing teamwork and then taught the classes to Table Games personnel. Immediate results involved increased detections by Surveillance and reduced losses due to cheating and internal theft in Table Games.

* Established evidence logging system and implemented it to catalogue over five years of incomplete and poorly filed video evidence material, creating the ability to locate evidence for criminal and civil cases.

* Wrote and delivered training classes for IACSP, as a member of the Stratosphere surveillance team.

* Selected as Investigator of the Month three times, outstanding employee once.

Surveillance Investigator/Supervisor, Exber, Inc (3 downtown LV properties) 2002-2003

* Graveyard shift supervisor for each of the three properties I worked. Detected and reported internal theft in Food & Beverage, Table Games, Slots, Finance and Sports Book areas, corrected Security operations, and detected external cheating and theft in Slots and Table Games.
