MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION
Completed the nationally accredited, self-study, At-Home Professions (at-homeprofessions.com) Medical Transcription course with a diploma, December 2007. Final GPA 90. The curriculum included extensive study of terminology of various medical specialties, anatomy and physiology, disease processes, signs and symptoms, medications, laboratory values, formatting of reports and correspondence, proofreading and use of professional reference material. Interpreted and transcribed dictation from medical professionals of varying dialects.
Completed a 50 hour medical transcription laboratory through an Adult Career and Technical Education Program. It consisted of independent transcription of dictated reports.

Currently sort and route mail; proofread and edit correspondence; greet customers and triage phone inquiries; prepare requisitions and invoices; maintain office director’s calendar and weekly calendars of other office staff.
