EDUCATION
• Master of Science, Mechanical Engineering, University of North Carolina, Charlotte. May 2011
• Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. University of Pune. May 2008
TECHNICAL SKILLS
• AutoCAD 2004 and 2005 • Microsoft Office2007 • Catia V5 R16
• Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 5.0 • Vicon Nexus • Matlab 2009b
• GT Power 2010 • Emissions Analyzer Software • Calterm III
•
ACADEMIC PROJECTS •
• Effect of ceramic coatings on engine efficiency: Masters Thesis research project under Dr Ahmed Soliman. Analysis is done to test the engine efficiency without ceramic coatings and with ceramic coatings. Better engine efficiency and higher thermal efficiency, with ceramic coatings on engine exhaust manifolds.
• Study of Nanoscale Heat transfer phenomena: Carried out a review of parts for experimental based setup along with Cost Based Analysis with respect to different companies providing the parts.
• Motion Analysis of Baseball Pitching: On field Pressure sensor testing along with simulation of baseball pitchers in motion lab using Vicon Nexus for recognizing and predicting efficiency. Reporting the results on MS Excel using graphical content for each player with their statistics.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Vehicle Systems Analysis Engineer – Cummins, Columbus, IN July 2010 – Present
• Develop Analytical Tools on Matlab R2009b for better evaluation and recommendations to customer needs in terms of Fuel Economy, Powertrain and Emission Issues. Run Duty Cycle Analysis to gain engine characteristics and generate reports for further recommendations.
