Pershing is one of the largest clearing firms. The project was for Securities Master(PROM) in the RDQA group which was responsible for maintaining security information using a mainframe system called PROM. The system received security information from various vendor files like S&P, JJK, VADS to update security information. Projects were initiated to enhance the system as well as to fix bugs for the PROM system. I was also involved in another effort for the Account Services under RDQA. The system netx 360, used by the clients and internal users to make all requests. The Account service customizes client accounts for compliance purposes.
Responsibilities:
• Conducted JAD sessions with traders and front office application support to understand and resolve new and open requirements and issues.
• Involved in preparation of AS-IS and TO-BE Business and System Process Maps.

The project was to enhance two existing legacy systems for better productivity in the current system as well as working on the system to replace the old ones. The system MDTS(Mortgage Desk Trading System) was used for trading Mortgage Backed Securities mainly TBA s. This was connected to another system called COMPASS that mainly did CMOs (Collateralized Mortgage Obligation). System was mainly used by traders to trade mortgage backed securities, the system was also used to match positions, generate daily reports which were used as feeds for other systems, and settle class days.
