Qualifications & Background Summary
My 1st job after college I worked in a commercial and aerial photography business as the operations manager. I helped grow the business from two employees to six employees. The business specialized in high quality aerial and mapping photography for businesses. I became proficient in all areas of the business but concentrated in the operations area, which meant getting the jobs done and delivered on time. My skills used included aerial & architectural photography, bucket truck operation, lighting, darkroom, customer relations, sales, computer graphics, computer maintenance, and managing several employees.
The 2nd position I held was as the owner of a ten employee retail/wholesale stone company in Noblesville, IN. I supplied both builders and retail customers with stone for homes and businesses. I learned a number of new skills including planning and managing small and large residential and commercial projects such as patios, retaining walls, fireplaces and walkways, and stone facades. I also became very proficient driving and operating many types of heavy equipment and machinery, including loaders, backhoes, Bobcats, forklifts, semis, and dump trucks. I also mastered the art of stone masonry and can lay any tile flooring.
I have my Class A CDLs and worked intermittently for several companies as a driver when there was a need. I also ran stone for Quality Stone Co. as an Over-the-Road driver for 8 years as the owner.
I also was a substitute teacher in the Carmel Clay and Hamilton Southeastern school system. I teach all levels K-12 and all subjects. I still have my state certificate, and carry a CPR certification.
My 3rd major position was as the owner of ProScapes, LLC and D&R Stone Design which was the combination of a landscape and hardscape company. I did mowing, drain tile, power washing, garden maintenance, and mulch. I was able to combine my outdoor maintenance skills with my stone experience and run both businesses simultaneously. I had four full time employees with both companies and a partner with D&R. Unfortunately, all of my equipment was stolen before the insurance came through and I lost my investments.
Currently, I am employed with Bottamiller Enterprises, LLC. My position is as a local Tri-Axle driver. We excavate sand, gravel, and fill dirt, process the aggregate, and deliver the materials to the customer. We use large John Deere excavators and front end loaders. I have also used and maintained a Power Screen processor to separate different sized materials into sorted piles.
