• Resolved and number of long standing Oracle Applications and Workflow performance issues, leading to a substantial improvement in the speed of applications and critical background processes.
• Redesigned and implemented an interface between legacy and current state architectures.
• Defined and documented SOA, BPEL and web services standards and best-practice.

System Engineer
Joined the organization as Technical Lead on a team tasked with improving the organizations use of technology. The joint efforts of this team and other similar teams within local and central government bodies have been instrumental in leveraging SOA and Oracle Applications (in conjunction with legacy systems) in order to ensure that all UK citizens receive equal access to public services. Other achievements included utilisation of technology to fight against fraud, improve revenue collection and to assist in safeguarding vulnerable members of society.
• Appointed as technical and architectural lead in a first of its kind collaboration between multiple local and central government agencies. Project lead to an agreed technical strategy and the successful implementation of joint services and a shared infrastructure capable of interfacing with new and existing software and infrastructure. The success of this approach formed a model for a number other similar ventures.
• Successfully developed and implemented Enterprise scale SOA, BPEL and ESB services and process orchestrations.
• Redeveloped and implemented a SOA/web services strategy for delivery of online services that lead directly to an improvement in revenue collection, was recognised as a significant achievement by the organisations Chief Executive and was ranked by the Society of Information Technology Management as a best of breed paradigm for customer interaction.
