OBJECTIVE
I have always been interested in working in a business setting. Clerical positions, as well as secretarial positions, have always been very appealing to me. I love working in business environments, as I have always been very organized and responsible. I would like to have a rather challenging job, that would keep me busy throughout the day.
I have worked with my mother in her accounting firm for a few summers now. So, although it is not work experience as I was never paid for it, I know a lot about the accounting side of a business. I know a lot about accounts receivable and accounts payable, as well as some tax information and payroll procedures. I learn quickly new accounting techniques and excel after being taught the basics.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Food City, Vansant, Virginia USA
Cashier 06/2008 - 08/2008
I worked as a cashier for a grocery store, near my home town in Virginia, for the summer of 2008. I only quit from this job because it was a summer job, and I was returning to school at West Virginia University in August.
Lowe's Hardware, Morgantown, West Virginia USA
Cashier 03/2009 - 05/2009
I ran one of the front cash registers for Lowe's Hardware during this time period. I am aware that I was only employed here for a short time, but I voluntarily quit to return home for the summer. I never missed a day of work while I worked here, I was very responsible and dependable.
Summit Cafe, Morgantown, West Virginia USA
Student Helper 08/2009 - 02/2011
I worked as a student helper in Summit Cafe, basically doing whatever they needed me to on any given day. I would, sometimes, run the cash register but, most of the time, I helped them do whatever they needed me to do in the kitchen. I often picked up extra shifts while I worked here, as I was very dependable. I quit because I wanted to find something that is more of a career than a job.

Receptionist/Accounts Payable Clerk
As the receptionist, it was my responsibility to answer incoming calls. I also was responsible for scheduling two conference rooms.
As the accounts payable clerk, it was my responsibility to make sure that all of the bills, for three different companies, were input into the system correctly. I also had to make sure that all had matching invoices and were coded correctly, and that they were paid on time.
Chesapeake Energy Oklahoma City, Oklahoma USA 01/2012 – 05/2012
Land/Title Indexer
It was my responsibility to go through the land deeds from various courthouses throughout different states and index them into the system, making it easier for Chesapeake’s landmen to find specific information about certain land parcels.
