Dear Human Resources,
I would like to express my interest in pursuing the Administrative Coordinator position within your agency while exercising my confidence and abilities to utilize my skills and compassion for the youth I will service.
In 2004 I attended Camden County Community College, Human Service field; obtained a 3.1 GPA, 71 credits, and graduated in May 2008. I transferred in the fall of 2008 into Rutgers University to work toward achieving my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and I completed a semester in the Social Work Program.
I have furthered my education in the Human Service field and confident that my experience, skills, and passion for servicing youth, adolescence, and adults will meet the expectations of your company. I am now in possession of 125 college credits and I possess a Bachelors degree in Psychology that I obtained from Rutgers University. Furthermore, I am a graduate student, in my third semester in Lincoln University’s Master’s of Human Service Program; possessing a total of 30 credits with a 3.5 GPA. I will be a great advocate for your company.
I have been working with youth since 2002 as a Childcare Worker servicing the age population from 8 to 18 years of age. I branched out and had the opportunity to work with the young adult population (18-25) as well as the Outreach Program where I serviced families in crisis. Working there informed me of the many situations, challenges, and behaviors that our youth and young adults displayed and still experience. It also encouraged me and motivated me to return to school to learn the strategies of how to better assist the youth, young adults, and their families both on the job and in my environment; showing them love and the support they need.
I started with Center for Family Services as a Residential Counselor in 2006 and within 10 months I was promoted to Senior Residential Counselor. As a senior residential counselor I assisted the youth with daily life skills while ensuring that both youth and the staff were in compliance with the program rules and regulations. Other various duties included: monitoring several logbook entries; ensuring the documentation was in compliance with program regulations and completed properly, maintaining monthly scheduling, and monitoring medications disbursement. Later I transferred to The Child Protection Substance Abuse Initiative Program (CPSAI) where I assisted the parent and/or legal guardian while protecting and ensuring quality services to the child/children who were in need or that may have resided within a home where there was substance abuse activity. I look forward to meeting you to discuss your company’s goals and how I can help meet them
Sincerely,
Carmita Tyree, BA
