ACHIEVEMENTS
As a Specialist at Nationwide Insurance Company, I assisted the legal support services team on law firm compliance reporting based on performance, costs and annual suit reviews for Company management analysis. Upon completion of this analysis, I assisted with the rollout of this Internet based billing software to selected Nationwide law firms.
As a Legal Assistant with Christie, Pabarue, Mortensen & Young, I supervised and maintained case rooms for litigation matters I handled. What enabled me to maintain each case room was development of an index for each document and deposition transcript for each particular matter in its specific case room. This enabled the attorneys handling the matter to easily locate any document and/or deposition transcript needed for their use. Each index was maintained using the database manager in Concordance.
As a Paralegal for Mary E. Sherlock, P.A., I coordinated and provided support to Ms. Sherlock by assisting with daily operations such as tracking time, billing clients and paying expenses using Quick Books. In the beginning of her operation as a law firm and throughout my tenor at the firm, I coordinated with outside vendors to acquire and maintain legal research software such as Lexis and Westlaw. I also assisted in acquiring computer hardware and software and maintained contact with IT professionals to assist with various issues and troubleshooting errors.
