Scope of role: Lean Six Sigma deployment lead for one of Top 10 refining operations in the world.

Challenged with: Come into an environment that has unsuccessfully tried to implement Continuous Improvement / Lean Six Sigma multiple times in prior years; unique insular corporate culture; working within the first new executive leadership team in the organization in nearly a decade.

Accomplishments: Implemented a sustained Balanced Scorecard Performance management process for strategy execution and corporate performance management (including linkage from Exec Leadership team to field console operators); implemented Lean Six Sigma program for operations and transactional processes that is yielding over 10% reduction in operating expenses in year one and projected to reduce yearly costs over 30% by 2011.

• (Stamford, CT): Worked as a consultant to design, develop, and implement a global PMO for a market research firm. Developed online intranet portal for hosting of best practices (checklist, guidelines, templates, etc.) for utilization by project teams across the enterprise.

• (San Diego, CA / New York, NY): Worked as an engagement / project manager for implementation of web-based portal to facilitate development of custom extranets to enable a global public relations / advertising firm to create custom extranets to facilitate collaborative development of collateral with clients and vendors.
