Troy Regional Medical Center - (Business Development Director & Physician
Practices Manager - May 2012 - Present) - Manager of 3hospital employed
physician practices with the specialties of Orthopedics, General Surgery,
and Gynecology. Responsible for all day to day operations, staffing
(hiring and firing), vendor management, capital equipment purchasing,
revenue cycle management, financial reporting, and presentation of
financial statements to physicians and board of directors of the hospital.
RAC audit coordinator. Business Development Director for entire Troy
Healthcare authority with duties ranging from Public Relations to
Relationship Marketing.
Lemak Sports Medicine and The Lemak Group of Companies, LLC (Chief
Financial Officer - July 2009 - December 2011) - Performed all duties
required by the CFO including creating and reviewing financials, presenting
and explaining financials to all partners and BOD, reviewing month and year-
end closing entries, evaluating cash flows, creating and reviewing budgets
for all entities, implementing controls, creating narratives of financial
process of Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts, obtaining funding
for real estate side of business (medical buildings and general real
estate), and
implementing and training staff to use accounting softwares and Practice
Management softwares.
. Responsible for lowering the physicians general overhead from 40% of
cash collections to between 15 and 20% of collections on a monthly
average which is half of MGMA averages.
. Opened 8 new clinic locations with duties consisting of locating
land/real estate, acquiring finance, meeting with architects for layout
and design, construction management, capital acquisitions, marketing
of physician in new area, creating budget for new physician and
location.
. Performed Qualitative and Quantitative analysis for each
location along with financial models and forecasts. EBITDA was
primary metric used to compare profitability for each location.
All metrics were presented to the board of directors on a monthly
basis and up to corporate (Community Health Systems) on a quarterly
basis.
. Financial statement presentation to all physicians on a monthly basis
and to corporate division on a monthly and quarterly basis.
. Business development for Code + Collect, a billing in collections
company owned by The Lemak Group of Companies. Increased revenue by
$400,000 in 2010.
. Successfully acquired and integrated 10 new physicians into practice
in 18 months. Therefore broadening our services offered by adding
doctors specializing in general orthopedics, hand, foot, and spine and
not just sports medicine.
Operationally, duties consisted managing various properties owned by The
Lemak Group of Companies, day to day operations of all Umbrella companies
as follows: Lemak Sports Medicine, Code + Collect, LLC, The
Lemak Group, LLC, National Center for Sports Safety (NCSS), Sports Medicine
Related Trauma Institute (s.m.a.r.t.), organizational strategy development,
monitoring and maintaining staff, and creating and driving performance
measures for operation of all 5 companies.

As a new staff accountant fresh out of college, my responsibilities
included the audit of cash, accounts receivables, property, accounts
payable, other assets, inventory, and debt for Hospitals that were listed
as for-profit and not-for-profit. Cost Report and Financial Statement
preparation was part of each of these audits. Also served my first tax
preparation season in which I did corporate, partnership, sole-proprietor,
and individual returns.
