Overview in Project itself:
Pfizer the world’s number one pharmaceutical company has major dependency on IT for its daily activities. I am into Business Objects Platform Support catering the needs of more than 13000 end users who use Business Objects for their reporting purposes.
Role in the Project:
I am a technical consultant for Business Objects handling Incidents and Problems in Business Objects XI R2, R3.
I’ve in various circumstances provided consulting on how to optimize the content planning for various applications hosted in Business Objects XI R2 and R3 Platforms. I have demonstrated my complete expertise in many of the processes, organizational rules, managing all the components that are running on live systems.
Following are the components that I am working on
• Business Objects XIR2 & Business Objects XIR3
• TOMCAT & IIS
1. Strictly following the ITIL processes.
2. Administration of Distributed/clustered deployment of Business Objects XI R2 in four environments (dev/Test/stage/Production) and Business objects XIR3 in 9 Environments.
3. Created and managed Business Objects services. Worked in fix pack installations,
Patch updates.
4. Created Web intelligence/Desktop intelligence reports for end users
5. Migrated universes/Reports from Integration/dev -> stage -> Production

Business Objects Administration project is a 24X7 support team with onsite and off shore paradigm.

Description:
Integration Centre of Excellence (ICOE) which provides IT support to the Product Groups and is the central point of contact with in Microsoft IT. ICOE manages critical productivity applications, tools, and resources to ensure operational and infrastructure efficiencies. ICOE has a 24/7 support model with offices in Redmond, Dublin, East Asia, and India. Runs a production environment and have Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier3 and PM Teams. ICOE is the team that supports applications like Feed store, B2B-Gentran and BizTalk server and is one of the key groups which support Microsoft's new product developments and patch / upgrade releases for the existing products taking into account the deadlines and delivery times the product is released to the Market.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Provided first and second level technical support for client software, database, and network and replication issues.
