BIOMEDICAL AND HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE
North Georgia Medical Transport - EMT: 385 Creek Stone Ct, Athens, GA,
30601. March 2010 - July 2012.
. Duties consist of medical transport of dialysis patients from residences,
nursing homes, and assisted living facilities to local dialysis centers,
vital evaluation, patient assessment and medical documentation, and
emergency call response.
. Twelve-hour shifts running from 5 a.m. - 5 p.m. every Saturday of each
month. Worked full-time from January-July 2012.
. Active EMT in both Pennsylvania and Georgia, having attained national
certification and registration after passing the EMT National Registry
Exam (NREMT).
Mercy Health Center - Triage: 767 Oglethorpe Ave, Suite B, Athens GA

. Volunteer job consists of bimonthly visits to local, free health clinic;
approximately 5 hours per shift.
. Duties include filing, greeting patients and their families, taking and
recording proper vitals signs and glucose levels for diabetic patients,
reviewing and reporting medications for refill, and discussing patient
issues with working RNs and MDs.

of several anti-cancer and anti-viral nucleoside drugs by facilitation of
the pH-dependent, human equilibrative nucleoside transporter, hENT3.
. Techniques: Xenopus surgical removal and assay of oocytes, Site-directed
mutagenesis, RNA isolation, Real-time PCR, cDNA synthesis, Cell plating
and culture, gel electrophoresis, transport studies, bacterial
transformation and amplification; schedule consists of approximately 15-
20 hrs. of bench laboratory experiments per week.
