I am an Instrumentation engineer, having more than 6 years experience in the field of instrumentation for Construction project execution in refinery and petrochemical industries.

Objective

To obtain a position in oil & gas, refinery & petrochemical sector involving construction, SAT, Commissioning Furthermore a position that will utilize skills of troubleshooting, creativity that have been developed during a career in the instrumentation field.

Technical

Hands on experience with the following instrumentation system -

• Distributed control system (DCS) Delta V,-centum –XL of Yokogawa, intelligent automation of Foxboro.

• Real flex SCADA control system.

• Emergency shutdown system (ESD)-Triconex.

• Electronic controllers-Yokogawa and Foxboro 960series.

• Tank level gauge system-SAAB Radar tank gauging system.

• Turbine meters- FMC smith.

• Analyzers like GAS chromatograph of combustion egg. Oxygen analyzer of Rosemount.

• Process switches like Pressure, Temperature, Level; Limit switches (magnetrol, Donfoss, Yamatake Honeywell).

• Mass flow meters of Micro motion.

• Field electronic/smart transmitters-Fisher Rosemount, Foxboro, Masonelian.

• Fire & Gas system-Nittan & various detectors like smoke detectors (optical & Ionization) UV / IR - Flame detectors, Hydrogen gas detectors, Combustible gas detectors, Heat detectors etc.

Details of Experience.

From Mar 2011 – Present:

Joined M/s.JOINT OPERATIONS (Wafra) KGOC- SAC, Kuwait .through

M/s. IMCO, Kuwait as an Instrument Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Analysis & co-ordination for modification of instrument location plans, cable schedule, control / marshalling cabinet installations, Electrical & pneumatic Hook-ups per the site requirements.

• Monitor / Inspection of Material Receiving, Handling, Storage and preservation, Material take –off (MTO) and Timely delivery of project deliverables.

• Witness calibration, Installation, Loop checking &Functional Test of Pressure, Flow, Temperature, Level Instruments, Analyzers, control on-Off,

Valves, Safety Relief valves, Fire & Gas Instruments.

• Installation and Testing of Electrical / Pneumatic Instruments :

o Cable Routing, Termination & Grounding.

o Marshalling Cabinets, UPS, Junction Boxes, Local control Panels, Trays.

o Leak test of instrument Air and Impulse tubing.

• Co ordination with the subcontractor to complete the SCADA system Installation & Commissioning activity.

• Conducting the site acceptance test (SAT) of the PLC / ESD / SCADA & Fire & Gas system.

• I have undergone several technical and safety training course during the course of my career. The courses include, BBS Observer training program, Fire fighting, First aid & H2S training etc.

• Underwent training on Material safety, Hazardous chemicals storage and handling precautions.

• Well familiar with work permit systems and safety requirements.

From Nov 2010 to Feb 2011:

Joined M/s.KNPC, MINA AL AHMADI REFINERY, Kuwait through

M/s .Almeer Technical Services Co.W.L.L. Kuwait as an Instrument Supervisor for MOIP (Modernization of Obsolete Instrumentation project).

Key responsibilities

• Loop checking and process control system Functional checking, Testing, Pre- Commissioning and commissioning of Process control system.

• Created piping specifications, Involved with MOC (Management of changing) Engineering of piping plot plan, and equipment layout.

• Review daily activity reports submit to the project manager.

• Enforce team to maintain safety during their jobs.

• Conducting Tool Box talks.

• Conducted site supervision, Provided technical expertise and supervision of the installation / commissioning / Testing of equipments / Machinery and hand over to clients.

From July 2006 to Sep 2010:

Joined M/s. RELIANCE INDUSTRIES LIMITED REFINERY Div at Gujarat, India. This is the world largest grass root refinery, promoted by M/s. Reliance Industries Ltd. Through

M/s. OCC OFFSHORE Pvt Ltd.India, as an Instrument Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

Worked in the Instrumentation activities such as erection, inspection, logic modification, loop check, review of P&ID,checking of data sheet with P&ID, providing Hook up drawing for field instruments, Construction activities, listing pre- commissioning activities, attending PSSR(pre – start- up safety review)and commissioning of –

• DCS-Foxboro, ESD-Triconex, SLC-500-Allen Bradley

• Fire & Gas system-Nittan, Honeywell.

• Logic and Functional check, attended DCS SAT (site acceptance test)

• Radar tank gauges –SAAB, MOVs-Rotork

• Identifying spares in field junction boxes, proposing cables/ JBs for different applications as per area classification, selection of transmitters, gauges etc, re– ranging of instruments(in field &DCS) as per process requirement.

• Organize the technical presentation from various process automation vendors.
