CAREER SUMMARY:

The first segment of my career was Ten years of Telecommunication experience functioning in various roles at different major companies. I performed the roles of Equipment Installer, Network Manager, Senior Transport and Switch Tech, and finally Site Manager. These were all in a central office environment. Every job change was from recommendations from my superiors at that time. I have been involved in every aspect of a central office and work closely with sales and customer clients alike.

The next segment of my career has been 2 years of experience in Information Technology at General Electric PAC’s systems. Presently I have been installing satellite systems for DIRECTV. I have held numerous positions including Installer, senior technician and finally doing direct contract labor for DIRECTV as a private contractor.

I am a technology generalist that has succeeded in two very different industries. My key strengths include driving results, building high performing teams, client focus and problem resolution. I prefer working in a fast paced environment. I have extensive leadership, program/project management, and central office technical training. These strengths have enabled me to deliver quality applications/projects on very aggressive timelines and within budget. I have experience managing customer and vendor relationships, including the management of building a major central office into a fully functioning multi million dollar site. I have worked at large multi-tiered organizations and consistently received high employee and client satisfaction results.

EXPERIENCE:

Contractor

Currently I do direct contracting for DIRECTV. Im responsible for customer installs , service calls, and sales. I have been trained in both standard and High definition installation. I can upgrade all forms of satellite and standard cabling systems, and am familiar with all installation practices.

General Electric Medical Systems (May 2002– October 2004)

PACS Installer and Technician

Managed a team responsible for the business client account management. The team supported the client from ideation through initial implementation for new applications as well as enhancements to existing systems. The scope included all telecom business functions such as pre-order, order, provisioning, trouble management, billing, disputes, and decision support. The team functioned as the customer advocate, developed high level business requirements, engaged resources, facilitated user acceptance testing and coordinated resolution of issues. The team was very successful at facilitating compromise on issues between the business clients and IT and enabled both organizations to achieve results. By developing a strong relationship with the business clients, the team was able to deliver a strong technical solution that met the business needs. Client satisfaction survey results were well above the IT average.

Switch Manager

* Performed joint commissioning on DMS 500 initial (SPM's, DTC's, DTCI's, SMA2's, MTM, IOM, etc.)

* Evaluated employee performance, trained and developed technicians to carry out tasks for the switch center.

* Established guidelines and performed maintenance on all equipment in the switch center.

* Equipment to include but not limited to DMS 500, Alcatel DACS, 48V Power Plant, Environmental Control systems, Fire suppression systems, security systems, and emergency AC generator.

* Interface and co-ordinate with other departments within Switching services and Network services to accomplish any task that might arise for the site.

* Responsible for test and turn-ups for DMS installations.
