‘INSIGHT 2010’ is a BI project that uses robust data warehouse Teradata 12.0 as RDBMS and Informatica Power Center 8.6.1 as an ETL Tool. Teradata acts as the source and target for different types of historical data while ETL tool Informatica is used to create Mappings with the help of various Transformations available to extract, transform and load the data into the data warehouse. Finally the cleaned and well transformed data from data warehouse is used to generate various types of reports and also helps the Business in decision making and in doing analysis.

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Creating mappings for the specific business requirements.

Fixing the invalid mappings and troubleshoot the technical problems of the database.

Doing extensive testing and writing queries in the Teradata SQL to ensure the correct loading of the data.

Debug the sessions by utilizing the logs of the sessions.

Using Informatica Client tools- Source Analyzer, Mapping Designer, Mapplet Designer, Mapplet Designer and Transformation Developer for defining Sources and Target Definitions and coding the process of data flow from source system to data warehouse.

An Actuary is a business professional who deals with the financial impact of risk and uncertainty. To analyze these risks and impacts, actuary needs some files known as TM1_Actuarial files. Claim history data, stored in the Teradata DWH, is used to derive these files.
