OBJECTIVE:
A research and manufacturing electronic engineer with experience in research, electrical design
(including power supply design), manufacturing support, conceptual prototyping; strong knowledge
of the properties of various electronic components and materials; problem solving, testing, and
quality assurance of electronic equipment; applying analytic techniques and thorough knowledge of
basics of manufacturing processes and electronics to practical issues, implementation of proposed
corrective actions; attention to details; experience in electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and
technical documentation; schematic capture; national and international standards.
EDUCATION:
MSEE in Microelectronics, Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences, Kiev, 1993;
BSEE in Electronics, National Technical University “KPI”, Kiev, Ukraine, 1972
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE:
MicrogLaCoste, Lafayette, CO (present time):
Electronic Production Department, Manufacturing Support: Prototyping, redesign, project
documentation, electronic manufacturing and manufacturing support, OEM laser manufacturing
and testing, interaction with suppliers and distributors, PCB design and redesign.
Pathfinder Systems, Inc., Lakewood, CO (2006 to 2007):
Electrical/Electronics System Engineer: Electronic, electromechanical design, documentation,
conceptual prototyping, manufacturing support, R&D, PCB design (flight simulators – government
contract).
North American Clinical Lasers, Ltd, Denver, CO (2005 to present time):
Electronic and Electrical Engineering Consultant for company importing high-technology
medical equipment (dental lasers) for use in medical offices in USA and Canada (part-time
consulting position).
Diamond Age Systems Corp., Phoenix, AZ (2004 to 2005):
Electronic Engineering Advisor for company importing high-technology medical equipment
(dental lasers) into USA (consulting position).
Thomas Electronics, Denver, CO (2005 to 2006):
Electronic Design Engineering: Design, prototyping, testing, failure analysis, manufacturing, and
calibration of electronic equipment for quality testing of various types of CRT and X-Ray tubes.
Aerion Technologies, Inc., Englewood, CO (2004 to 2005):
Electronic Engineer: Manufacturing, testing and calibration of heat stress monitors (electronic
equipment for environmental measurements - industrial and military applications).
Celestica, Inc., Ft. Collins, CO (2003 to 2004):
Failure Analysis Engineer: Failure analysis, testing and troubleshooting of complex electronic
equipment in manufacturing environment.
Morrow Tech Industries, LLC, Broomfield, CO (2001 to 2002):
Sr. Electrical Manufacturing Engineer: Design, manufacturing, and testing of complex electronic
micro spot welding equipment (including various power supplies).
Circuit City Stores Inc., Service Department, Aurora, CO (1996 to 2000):
Sr. Electronics Engineering Technician: Gathering and analyzing information, problem solving,
testing, and implementation of proposed corrective actions.
DEAN Technologies & Communications, Inc., Englewood, CO (1994 - 1996):
Electronics Engineering Technician: Remanufacturing, troubleshooting, testing, and refurbishing
of telecommunications electronic equipment.
Institute of Semiconductors, Kiev, Ukraine (1988 to 1994):
Lead Design Engineer and Chief Engineer of Research Laboratory: Design and manufacturing
of special equipment for studying and determining reliability of UHF semiconductor devices. This
equipment was implemented into the electronic industry of former Soviet Union.
Institute of Physiology, Kiev, Ukraine (1984 to 1988):
Principal Design Engineer: Designed and took part in manufacturing of series of electronic
devices for determining suitability of operators to work quickly, safely and faultlessly. These
devices were used to examine drivers, pilots, and dispatchers in civil and military areas. Use of
these devices for quick mass preliminary selection of people suitable to the operator job saved
money and time, and increased safety of operation in different areas. Devices mostly were used in
Air Forces of former Soviet Union.
Institute of Paper, Kiev, Ukraine (1981 to 1984):
Sr. Design Engineer: Designed equipment for testing of dielectric strength of high-voltage
electrical papers and films used as an electrical insulation.
Institute of Metal Physics, Kiev, Ukraine (1972 to 1981):
Sr. Design Engineer: Designed series of high-voltage precise power supplies (up to 10,000 Volts).
Special means of design allowed increasing the accuracy of these power supplies, and
successfully creating physical equipment for study of solid-state surface.
PUBLICATIONS AND PATENTS:
* Ten articles published in Russian and Ukrainian industrial and scientific magazines.
* Seven Russian and Ukrainian patents (implemented in various projects).
