Apr. 2009 – Current - Divisional Steel Inventory Manager:

Developed a tracking system from the available data to monitor 7 facilities inventory levels. Created goals with the Div. VP for months of inventory on hand and incorporated into weekly distribution format to purchasing agents and general managers. Established control measures to assist with inventory reduction to reasonable levels. Monitored and audited company purchasing guidelines for compliance and reported discrepancies to Div. Controller and VP.

Jan. 2008 – Apr. 2009 (facility downsized) - Quality Manager:

Managed daily product and process controls utilizing data collection at key process points and provide production management with daily feedback for continuous improvement. Both weekly and monthly KPI’s are tracked, monitored, and adjusted for process improvements. Other responsibilities include project coordinator for continuous improvement project reviewing process mapping, observation analysis, and lead the project steering committee team. Monitored project status and mentored new task force teams.

Managed daily production including production requirements, efficiencies, scrap, lean manufacturing, “5S”, quality requirements, and personnel. Managed the quality department to ensure all policies and procedures are being adhered to. Managed 5 performance center operations which included 5 cross functional team members within the facility. Developed performance center monthly reports for executive management top sheet reporting. Coordinate product change over matrix to supersede discontinued product internally and externally. Managed regular customer plant visits to strengthen communications, customer satisfaction and to review /resolve any in plant issues.

Manage multiple sales accounts and multiple projects within each account both internally and externally. Liaison between the customer and internal engineering department to communicate project specifications and timing. Supervised and trained process technicians for a three shift operation. Interact with Ford and Chrysler engineers with new programs or model year changes to the current production parts. Assist assembly plants when issues occur with part quality through packaging process. Plant process experience includes BMC, SMC compression molding & liquid injection molding RTM, S-RIM and Foam molding operations.

Six months from receiving the Viper program responsibilities, the program was changed from a troubled program to the most profitable product line at Cambridge - Newton Operations.

I was one in a team of four to develop a new process which saved Chrysler over 1 Million dollars a year on the Dodge Viper platform.

I received a Rockwell International Chairman’s Team Award for my personal work on the Ford cross-member development project.

I received the Ford Ranger/Explorer fan shroud program 2 months before Job 1 production launch. Four months after production launch a profitable product line and continued to improve.
