2012 – Present

Working offshore Egypt for Saipem on the FDS as a coating inspector on the Burullus WMMD phase VIIIB development project .

Inspection of the heat shrink sleeves field joints and line pipe repairs for the new flow lines on phase VIIIB development.

2011 – 2012

Working offshore Angola for Saipem on the FDS as a coating inspector for the Kizomba satellite project block 15 for Exxon.

Work Carried out was on the inspections of FBE field joints for the 12” water injection pipeline and also carrying out inspections on 3 Layer Polypropylene vertically applied fused tape joints on the 16” pipe in pipe oil pipeline. Inspections for the PU joints on the risers for the Kizomba A and B FPSO all pipe was laid by J lay in deep water from the FDS.

Coating inspector on Bidston moss viaduct strengthening project M53 junction 1. Working along side Jacobs, CBUK, Network Rail and Amey in the bridge strengthening repair and removal of lead paint and recoating to the highways agency specification.

Working for UPC as a blaster painter coating of RFA tankers in UK shipyards. UHP and coating of marine causeway Barry Island Wales. Various blasting and coatings projects in shop conditions for the offshore oil and gas industry. Started to study for coatings inspection/ painting technology. Left UPC to work for Mid-Blast.

Nor-Clean

2001--2002

Worked for Nor-Clean as a shot blaster and paint sprayer in yard painting pipes for the offshore industry then blasting and painting marine vessels in Falmouth and Southampton. Cargo and ballast tanks, hulls and superstructures.

Palmers:

1999--2001

Working Palmers South Shields Tyne & Wear UK Corrosion after School decided to go into painting contracting on the advice of a friend in order to build up a bank balance. Started stripe coating in Tyneside shipyard commercial and RFA water ballast tanks Teesside working on various road bridges throughout north east England. Graduated to the position of paint sprayer initially in marine vessels water ballast tanks, and then ended up blasting and spraying on onshore former ICI tank farm at Teesside.
