Stormwater Quality Intern
City of Midwest City Midwest City, Ok 2011 to Present
Research all possibilities for government funding to update the recycling program.
Design and update the Environmental Education program for the Stormwater Department. This includes updating content on the City’s website, school outreach, and updated pamphlets on Stormwater and Recycling at City Hall.
Draft proposals and questionnaires to gain resident buy in of an improved city recycling program in order to ensure maximum resident participation.
Utilize current staff in order to learn all components of the Stormwater department including:
• Develop, conduct, or participate in surveys, studies, or investigations of various land uses to enforce corrective action
• Collect, sort, and weigh Household Hazardous Wastes from local residents in order to ensure their proper disposal.
• Visit areas affected by erosion problems to identify causes and/ or determine solutions.
• Determine sampling locations and methods plan, collect water samples for analysis, preserving samples with appropriate container and preservation methods.
• Observe and record field conditions, gathering, interpreting, and reporting data such as flow meter readings and chemical levels.
Executive Team Leader of Assets Protection

Assigned employees to specific duties in order to accomplish maximum sales and minimal loss.
Managed the company’s assets through loss prevention policy education and enforcement. This lead to a decrease in loss to the company in excess of $100,000 for the last 2 years.
Monitored the daily operations of the building on a rotating basis as the acting Manager on Duty. During these shifts I was responsible for directly supervising all employees and coordinating their work duties to ensure to keep the store running smoothly and efficiently.
Accomplished having a working relationship with 6 different law enforcement agencies in the last 9 years, which enabled me to award one of the agencies over $7,000 in grants. I also worked with Oklahoma City Police Department and my peer group to begin the process of making Target a corporate sponsor for the Oklahoma City Police Athletic League.
Awarded “Best in Community” due to my extensive work the Midwest City Police Department and their Weed and Seed program.
Coordinated volunteer events with other store locations and several Police Agencies.
Collaborated with other store leaders in order to facilitate compliance with all local, State, and Federal safety regulations through the use of approved company training and timelines. This lead to a decrease in employee safety accidents during the last 2 years at my last location.
Selected to be among one of the first instructors to roll out updated company training programs. During my time as an instructor I trained and/ or oversaw training of over 1,000 employees.
