BACKGROUND SUMMARY
I have chosen a career in Long Term care and have been in this area of work for 20 + years. I started out as a certified nursing assistant then went back to school in 1996. I received my LPN in 1999 and then my RN in 2001. I quickly advanced to management after receiving my RN. I started as a Medicare Charge Nurse advancing to Assistant Director of Nursing then to Director of Nursing within 5 years. I have now been a Director of Nursing for the past 7 years.
QUALIFICATION HIGHLIGHTS
The following highlights my strongest assets: Using my ability to multiple tasks has allowed me to manage nursing departments in skilled nursing facilities up to 160 beds at maximum efficiency over the past 7 years. I’m an excellent educator. By in servicing all of the nursing staff at least once a month, I keep my staff state and federal survey ready at all times. Through my management approach, facilities I have worked for have achieved deficiency free state surveys, number of divisional rankings and a deficiency free VA survey. I am extremely organized and efficient attacking my work load promptly.
