EXPERIENCE

Office Manager

Bru/Mar Enterprises, Inc 1992 – Present.

• Setup and operated the office system for a retail, service and contracting company generating a peak of $1 million in annual sales.

• Responsible for the public relations, human resources, accounting, receivables and payables on construction projects for over 1000 new single-family water systems.

• Assisted in the complete retail operation including advertising, public relations, scheduling, purchasing, subcontracting, and customer service.

• Monitored subcontractor activities and oversaw multiple subcontractors to ensure payments were made on time and within budget.

• Assisted managing all aspects of operations for a 2400 SF retail store, inside and outside service department, and contracting department with a 4 person staff with 1/2 million dollar per year sales.

• Responsible for the tax records, payments and coordination of benefits for employees and officers.

• Developed operating budget for the business based on detailed forecasts and advised the CEO in order to operate effectively within the operating budget.

• Designed and implemented a product ordering and receiving operation to incorporate an automated system.

Collections Specialist

American Commercial Collectors Assoc Inc, Sacramento, CA, 1991 – 1992.

• Locate and notify customers of delinquent accounts, usually over the telephone, but sometimes by letter. Review the terms of the sale, service, or credit contract with the customer.

• Skip-tracing - check with the post office, telephone companies, credit bureaus, former neighbors and other agencies to obtain new addresses.

• Inform the debtor of the overdue account and solicit payment. Record commitment to pay and check later to verify that the payment was indeed made

• If customer fails to respond, prepare a statement indicating the customer’s action for the credit department of the client

• Initiate repossession proceedings, disconnect the customer’s service, or hand the account over to an attorney for legal action.

• Handle other administrative functions for the assigned accounts, including recording changes of addresses and purging the records of the deceased.

Office Manager

M&M Pump and Equipment Corporation, Grass Valley, CA, 1983 – 1991.

• Managed and led the office team for a 20-employee company generating a peak of $2 million in annual sales.

• Responsible for managing all aspects of daily office operations for a 10,000 SF retail store, inside and outside service department, and contracting department with a 9 person staff with $1 million dollar per year in contracting sales.

• Developed operating budget for the business based on detailed forecasts and managed the office systems of the company to operate effectively.

• Reduced company expenses by more than 30% over a 2-year period while maintaining productivity levels, service quality, and inventory accuracy.

• Designed an employee productivity improvement incentive program that resulted in a 28% increase in productivity.
