As a member of a transcontinental Deployment Project team spanning all countries in which Nokia had an operating presence, charged with overall management responsibility within the Americas Region for all aspects of this trans-national Deployment Project of Nokia’s Global Output Device Program (GOPD.) When fully realized, this Global program saved Nokia in excess of one million Euros. This role included responsibility for managing the regional Deployment Project’s budget, resources, schedule, quality, communications, and execution of project deliverables in support of the Global Program, as well as managing stakeholder relationships and expectations at all levels of the enterprise, from the Steering Group to End Users. In-scope countries within the Americas Region included Canada, USA, Mexico, Panama, Ecuador, Chile, Peru, Brazil and other South American countries. The objective of the various regional Deployment Projects of the GOPD Program was the implementation of a unified global solution encompassing the ownership and management of all printers, FAX devices, scanners and other document-generating devices into a single, turnkey, cradle-to-grave solution. This solution encompassed sourcing, procurement, placement, delivery, maintenance (provisioning of paper, toner, etc, and repairing breakdowns, etc,) ownership accountability, and end-of-life upgrade / replacement of all in-scope devices in every Nokia office in all countries in which Nokia had a presence.
