Implementation of batch management to a SAP existing production environment

• Created the batch master for all finished goods.

• Different attributes like class code of the tire and country of origin are mapped as characteristics of the batch. Differentiate inventory based on country of origin.

• Configured batch search strategy for a complex business requirement that involved selection of multiple batches that would suffice the order quantity. The scenario would be if a particular order quantity is not fulfilled from a single batch. Batch split happens in delivery based on the selection criteria of the specific customer.

• Based on the selection criteria of customers that belong to each distribution channel like dealer channel or OE channel batch search strategy was configured which supported the FIFO strategy the older tires being pushed out of the warehouse first.

• Automatic batch determination done based on customer specified conditions.

• Developed a complex interface between SAP and Diforce a plant production recording system for inventory induction at batch level in contrast to previous induction done at material level.
