Production Planning & Control

ð Heading production & process operations of High Pressure Mercury Vapour Lamps, High Pressure Sodium Vapour Lamps, Metal Halide Lamps, Son T Plus (super sodium) Lamps, Blended Lamps and MVL Arc Tubes.

ð Ensuring timely accomplishment of production targets within the time and cost parameters.

ð Improving production and efficiency of HID Plant comprising of 3 Shift In-charges, 6 Technicians, 50 Operators, with 10 processes of manufacturing by using SQC and modern management techniques.

ð Determining the future needs and production capacity for producing required quantities of items on pre-defined standards and within financial costs.

Process Management

ð Conceptualizing and screening new process / systems and conducting feasibility studies to determine the viability based on technical, financial & economic parameters.

ð Monitoring manufacturing operations of MVL/ Blended Arc Tube & HID lamps.

ð Maintaining process parameters of all types of HID lamps by using six sigma techniques.

ð Material Planning & developing vendors in China for obtaining timely procurement of good quality materials & equipments at cost effective prices to ensure smooth execution of projects & production.

ð Played a vital role in reducing the following:

§ Manufacturing cost of HID Lamps by 15% by optimizing process parameters, efficiency, reducing fuel & electrical consumption & changing raw materials & developing new vendors in China as well as decreasing its consumption without affecting quality, resulting increase in profit, market share, expansion & growth.

§ Wastage (Extra material cost) from 2.9 % to 1.10 % of HID lamps.

§ Extra material cost of 2 FTL chains from 6% to 2.5%.

§ Lumen drop 3.0% from 6% and improved Lumen output in FTL(T8 & T12).

§ HG filling per tube from 110 to 50 mg by modifications in machine heads.

ð Merit of having developed Metal Halide (sv gear, mv gear, low voltage striking for Indian condition) in various CCT & CRI & Son-T Plus lamps (Super Son Lamps).

ð Successfully developed lock type packing instead of flap type packing to reduce cost of HID lamps.

ð Efficiently reduced electricity consumption per lamp production by 20% by implementing automation in HID plant.

ð Developed SVL arc tube, MHL arc tube vendor from China to reduce cost of production without affecting quality.

ð Pivotal in developing process to make all types of MHL & SON-T PLUS lamps.
