Achievements:
One of Eleven Art Teacher (of 5,000 Teachers in NYS) to write the NYS Art Curriculum for 9th to
12 grade & commencement level.
Painted Windsor's History (as a visual depiction) at the Windsor Town Pool building. Research of
Windsor's history, develop relationships with town council and Mayor to do a community service
project- June 2002
Enter students in local and regional art shows. Transport artwork to shows, hang art, attend art
shows and involve students in local art events enhancing their awareness of arts in our
community.
Trips to New York City (on weekends) to galleries and museums. Field trips: to Corning
Glassware, private studios to blow glass, golden paint factory and trips to local galleries.
Invite college reps to do presentations to students to show them the career fields and
opportunities available. Invite local artist to do presentations to students.
Developed a relationship with BCC to allow students in the art! communications curriculum to
come teach! mentor high school students.
