o Precious metals such as gold and palladium were recovered from wastes such as drag out, jig built up etc.
Lead time reduction in stripping process:
o The preparation of stripping bath took a long time in preparing the bath and also to set the bath for production. As a team we did a brain storming and proper analysis and changed the flow of acids according to its density, which was not previously done due to that the lead time has been reduced to 4 production hours from 16 production hours.
Daily management in Nickel plating
o In order to avoid the chemical breakdown of the bath changes were made in inputs given to the bath as a result chemical breakdown has come down to just one or two per year.
Capability improvement on Nickel plated cases
o In order to meet the future demands and also to improve the process slight alterations were made in the plating bath improve both capacity and capability.
Safety improvement in case electroplating
o While preparing the bath for stripping process hazardous fumes were emitted apart from the blower that was provided. So an alternative was proposed to improve the safety while working in that area.
