Lifeguard.
I watch over the pool and provide assistance when is needed.
Swim Instructor
I teach kids 3-15 basic water safety skills. I also teach kids with disabilities. Weingart East Los Angeles YMCA is connected with the East Los Angeles Regional center. With this collaboration we provide water therapy for children that suffer from autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy etc.
Dance Instructor
I created a dance program at the YMCA that involves teaching kids basic dance moves to different genres of dance. Ballet, Jazz, and Hip Hop are the classes that I teach to kids ages 6-13. I also created a Parent n Me Ballet class for children ages 2-5. They learn basic motor skills while learning basic classical ballet movement. In all classes the six pillars of character are implemented. Respect, Responsibility, Trustworthiness, Caring, Citizenship, and Fairness.
Physical Education Instructor
Weingart East Los Angeles YMCA also collaborates with KIPP LA Prep. A middle school right next to our facility. With them I got the opportunity to instruct over 150 5th through 8th graders and teach them the basic loco motor skills needed to satisfy the California state standards. I also got to teach them a little of my dance movement as well and created a hip hop class for them and teaching them basic hip-hop movement.

Skills
• I am bilingual. I speak fluent English and Spanish.
• I consider myself very kid-friendly. I love to talk to kids and be that person that they go to when they are in need of any help.
• Since I have been a lifeguard and a swim instructor at the YMCA, I am CPR/First Aid certified.
• I am extremely creative. When things are not going as planned I am not afraid to change my lesson plan.
• I am fun!
