Controller (March 2007 to December 2009)

Implemented and designed a new general ledger account system. This included an expanded general ledger to give us greater visibility and control over expenses. Managed the accounting functions for a 10 million in sales company. Participated in SWOT analysis and strategic planning. Directed the HR activities for over 38 employees as well as conducted performance reviews. Administered the benefit program, included annual review of benefits and enrollment. Handled all aspects of payroll including direct deposit, payment and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll taxes. Prepared the budget, analyzed company performance and made recommendations for changes. Responsible for all accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including approving credit application and account collection. Performed the month end close and financial reporting for 3 separate companies.
