• Manage the release cycle of Logitech’s SetPoint, LGPS, LGS, LCC and several other software applications under waterfall and Agile development environments. Schedule the devices to be supported in the release. Create test plans and test cases to exercise the new and existing features as defined on the Marketing Requirements and Functional Specifications.
• Meet with development and marketing on a regular basis to discuss the progress of the projects and evaluate issues that need to be addressed for the current releases or deferred to future releases.
• Coordinate with the build and development teams to have a standard set of automated tests that would need to be successfully executed in order for a build to be accepted for QA testing. Review engineering validation tests to ensure appropriate coverage prior to the Alpha build release.
• Adapt different testing strategies when new features are introduced late in the Beta phase for projects following a waterfall process. Re-assign QA engineers based on the priority of the projects. Work to minimize the risk of new issues being introduced as a consequence of the changes.
• Weekly meeting with customer support representatives to go over any escalations from the field and to analyze trends. Assist them in writing FAQ documents to minimize phone contacts. Organize teams to investigate issues reported to customer support. Present solutions to issues and work with development to implement permanent fixes in future releases.
• Manage the outsourcing of projects and feature testing to an outsource company in India. Hold weekly meetings to go over the status of the test execution and answer any inquiries. Coordinate with the engineering group in Fremont to reproduce issues reported and provide test builds.
• Mentor QA engineers in leading and managing qualifications. Help them develop career plans that benefit the company as well as their own personal goals. Provide constant constructive criticism through the year that help most of them achieve above average performance.
