As a highly motivated Civil Engineer from Florida Gulf Coast University, I have achieved large accomplishments in short intervals. Many skills have been acquired through different manners ranging from computer analysis to laboratory testing. All projects completed throughout the college career required design phases and visual representation of the product. I have been using CAD to complete both 2D and 3D drawings for the visual components for 6 years until recently graduating college. The Civil Engineering program that is offered at Florida Gulf Coast University places a large focus on the use of computer programs to develop technical reports that reflect the results that have been calculated. Through this experience, I have refined my writing skills and am able to produce an organized and logical technical report that contains no ambiguous information and provides recommendations for the proposed problem.

OBJECTIVE:

EDUCATION:

B.A. in Civil Engineering from Florida Gulf Coast University. Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam and received E.I. license with the pursuit of a P.E. after gained experience.

RELEVANT SCHOOL PROJECTS:

• Structural design of a shed for snow plows, use of CAD for drawing trusses beams, columns, and layout of the building

• Design of a three-story-parking garage composed of reinforced concrete (including concrete design of the slab, beams, girders, and columns as well as the reinforcing steel inside the concrete, stirrups, temperature and shrinkage bars, and ties as well as 3D representation of all components of structure

• Creation of a mock football stadium for project planning including exposure to scheduling, budgeting, gantt charts, critical path method, permitting, work breakdown structure, Q/A and Q/C

• Use of CAD for 2D and 3D drawings to offer different layouts for site development plans for a new building on the university campus

• Creation of water distribution system using EPANET, including fire flow conditions

• Comparison of loss methods using computer modeling to mock natural occurrences in watersheds

• Use of computer modeling to find peak discharge, lag time, and peak volume of channels

• Use of Culvert Master to design culverts that would ensure peak discharge of a watershed will maintain natural conditions after development

• Slope analysis using computer analysis and hand calculations to develop an acceptable factor of safety, including the fluctuation of water table and changing height of slope

• Design of an aquatic center that is compliant with all codes and standards for an Olympic swimming event, as well as 3D representation of all components of structure

Most 2D drawings being used for site design, while 3D drawings being used for the simulation of a building walk-thru.
