• Developed and managed underwriting and origination programs and processes to ensure high credit standards as well as efficient transaction flow; managed and mentored underwriters, originators and analysts in the nuances of these programs/processes.
• Automated and maintained books and financial records for over 20 affiliated entities of local retail property developer, including cash-flowing properties, construction projects and land holdings.
Business Development/Origination
• Continually exceeded origination goals for commercial banks, credit/finance companies and CMBS lenders.
• Generated over $1.5B in loan opportunities and have closed $40MM in loans over the last 15 months with First Bank Illinois.
• Originated, structured and presented $50+ million in loans during first year with Fifth Third Bank’s commercial real estate division, including both construction and term loans.
• Managed all aspects of transaction capitalization for a local retail property developer including placement of over $60 million in acquisition and construction financing over 2 years; deal sizes ranged from $1–20+ million.
• Originated over $160MM in CMBS loan production through mortgage bankers, brokers & direct borrowers over an 18 month period.
• Negotiated and originated in excess of $85MM in highly structured bridge loan production for national finance company.
• Coordinated the development of a joint lending program between ITT Real Estate Services and a sister company within ITT.
