2)Knowledge and Development of formulation products, process equipments, ICH guidelines, CFR part21 and SOP preparation and protocols, OSHA regulation
3)Possess knowledge of Analytical instruments like HPLC, UV spectrophometers. Other Instruments like Franz-Diffusion Cell, Sonicator and Single-Punch Machine.
Education
MASTER’S IN INDUSTRIAL PHARMACY December 2011
Long Island University, Brooklyn, New York.
A:COURSEWORK: Industrial Pharmacy dealing with industrial techniques for dosage forms such as tablets, emulsions, suspensions; Methods of Pharmaceutical Analysis discussing U.V,I.R and HPLC; Transdermal drug delivery; Advanced Biopharmaceutics/pharmacokinetics; Controlled Release Systems; Mathematical modeling with WinNonlin Software.
B: PROJECTS:
1) Performed an Experiment “To study in vitro permeation of gel” using Franz-Diffusion Cell. Different gels were prepared with different concentrations of drug, Klucel or Methocel. Gels were used to study their permeation using cadaver skin. Results gave the permeation coefficient values, which were used to determine good permeation ability of gel.
2) Presented and Report was documented on “Controlled Release sodium Valproate formulation”. The Topic was selected on basis of recent patent in field of Control Release Drug Delivery
BACHELOR’S IN PHARMACY
May 2008
MET Institute of Pharmacy, Mumbai, India.
COURSEWORK: Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry, Biopharmaceutics and Kinetics, Clinical pharmacy and Drug Interaction, Pharmaceutical analysis, Pharmaceutical technology, Cosmetic Science.
Experience
Internship: SANDOZ
June 2007
1)The basic duty in Production Department was to learn about the ongoing process of the product being developed. The products formed were mainly tablets and capsules based on different conditions. Large-scale production using Machines like rotary press, Fluidized Bed Dryer were the key points.
2)In quality control, performed different tests: capping, sticking, measuring of length and thickness on the dosage form and tests on packaging material like dimension of material, tensile strength, negative and positive label check. Results from the respective tests were documented in company issued formats.
3)Different instruments like Karl-Fischer, HPLC ,Sonicator operations were observed
Software Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Other Software: WinNonlin.
