Representative Accomplishments
Played vital role in international project. Conoco engaged Bay Inc. as part of a $650M joint venture in Russia near the Arctic Circle. Multi-site infrastructure venture encompassed a 25-module pumping station and 200-module process/utility station. Mastered logistics and weather-related problems, completing project to Conoco’s satisfaction.
Turned around struggling project. Davis Intl. needed a new Project Manager on industrial construction project for Willamette Industries. Marshaled 225 multi-functional team, setting new benchmarks and quality standards. Ensured that all facility infrastructure elements were complete, earning Davis significant additional work from Willamette.
Resolved costly safety issue, saving Fagen millions of dollars from lost-time accidents and increased insurance costs. Numerous injuries occurred each month when workers fell into large gaps in previously placed rebar. Installed/tested remedy on several projects, eliminating problem. Solution was implemented company-wide.
Dramatically reduced cost of lost, stolen or damaged material. FEC was losing millions of dollars per year because of inefficient inventory processes. Devised innovative tracking program, later adopted throughout multi-million dollar firm. Slashed per-project material losses by 67%, cutting excess material costs in the process.
Rescued major industrial re-build project. Client would not accept QA/QC procedures devised by Davis for rebuild of large ammonia plant. Met with client, employing relationship building skills to ascertain critical problems. Tailored major project to customer’s specifications, completing job on schedule and generating add-on business for Davis.
