• Working start up support on DCS for KBR Engineering on new Activated Carbon facility in Coushatta, LA. Duties include loop checking and modifying existing controls as needed in support of the startup of the facility.

Process Control Application Engineer (2006 – 2010)

Yokogawa Corporation of America; (12530 W. Airport Blvd, Sugarland, TX 77478)

• Lead Engineer for the $3,000,000 conversion of BP Crane Gas Plant from Modicon PLC to Yokogawa DCS/SIS control system. Managed engineering team that converted Modicon code to Yokogawa controls. Advised BP in HAZOP review for addition of the SIS system. Developed improved graphical interfaces for the DCS.

• Lead Application Engineer on $15,000,000 DCS/SIS system installed in new polysilicon facility at Moses Lake Washington. Assisted EPC and end use customer in developing control strategies, modifying P&IDs and control narratives. Developed complex controls and Batch Management controls for the facility using Yokogawa SEBOL batch logic. Managed engineering team for all of the standard loops. Site Manager for Yokogawa startup team in charge of loop checks and commissioning of process for Yokogawa.

• Completed Complex logic and automatic startup controls for LNG unloading terminal, Anhydrous Plant, and Alumina facility.

Senior Process/Project Engineer (2003-2006)

SNF Polychemie; (3080 Port and Harbor Drive, Bay St. Louis MS 39520)

• Developed P&ID and process flow diagrams for new $11,000,000 continuous specialty monomer facility involving transesterification reaction and distillation units for purification. Previous facilities were batch processes. Results were improved yields and significantly lower cost.

• Designed Process Controls and managed DCS system for two facilities. Responsible for maintaining the process control system of the plant.

• Provided technical support in all PSM audits, Process hazard analysis and Management of Change requests for three facilities.

• Specified and purchased all instrumentation for the specialty monomer plant including specifying Yokogawa DCS hardware.

• Developed Continuous Improvement program in conjunction with ISO 9000 program and statistical data evaluation. Results increased production by 15 % by reducing off spec product and rework.

• Developed P&IDs and specified all equipment for new water soluble monomer and polymer plant in Mississippi.
