QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY
Experienced in mechanical design with skills in 3-D Computer Aided Design and Drafting software including Pro E, and Solidworks. Initiated drawing changes and release using Intralink and SAP. Experienced problem solver within manufacturing environment, focusing on production troubleshooting, investigation of customer problems, and product testing. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, with coursework in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, kinematics, drafting and mechanical design.
KEY SKILLS and MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Mechanical Design
• Worked with a team to design a hybrid electric/gasoline drive-train for use with the GA Tech formula SAE chassis to compete in the Formula Hybrid Competition. Design was achieved through component selection and configuration of a power generation system, energy storage system, and an application and control system for a cost of less than $10,000.
• Designed and implemented a cost reducing integration of two machines into one. Resulted in improved efficiency, and reduction of production cost by eliminating downtime between processes to be seen over a 2-year period.
3-D Computer Aided Design and Drafting
• Located drawing numbers from bill of materials using SAP software program. Then performed drawing changes using Pro E 3-D Computer Aided Design software. Drawing changes were then analyzed within assembly view to determine the affect on other components and the system as a whole. Drawing changes were released using Intralink and the bill of materials then updated to reflect drawing changes.
Production Troubleshooting and Testing
• Performed breakdown of nonconforming product to determine customer problems. Individual components were then measured and tested to pinpoint any production error. Assisted engineers in determining appropriate production changes (i.e. mold, material, design), Responsible for testing new production design to UL standards, and ensuring appropriate testing procedures.
• Responsible for investigation of customer questions and problems, production troubleshooting through testing numerous samples from different production lots, disassembly of samples, and investigation for any design, or material nonconformity. Assisted engineers in the choosing appropriate methods for mitigation of the issue.
PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
2007-2008
