PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Vice President-Commercial Banking and Lending Team Lead 8/2012-present

WesBanco Bank Inc., Parkersburg, WV

VP/Commercial Lending and Banking Team Lead for the Southeast Ohio market. Player-coach role, accountable for both personal and team production. Directly responsible for managing a team consisting of four commercial lenders/business bankers, a treasury management representative, and an administrative assistant. Responsible for all lending functions, focusing on existing and potential business clients in the Southeast Ohio and Western West Virginia geographical areas. Accountable for developmental sales, service, and support of small to large sized corporate banking, commercial banking, and business banking clients. Have acquired prospects consisting of a wide variety of industries. Team and personal loan production consists of a mix of both C&I and CRE. Expertise includes lending to tax-exempt bank qualified entities such as public service districts, water and sewer associations, municipalities and other non-profit customers. Team and personal management of a commercial loan portfolio, with tasks consisting of contacting past due customers, tracking covenants, financial reviews, line of credit and annual renewals, loan modifications, and monitoring construction draws and borrowing base certificates. Responsible for adhering to the bank's sales culture, while developing and executing a business plan consisting of individual and market goals. Duties also include preparing credit summaries and analysis on new and existing clients, partnering with each of the bank's lines of businesses, and involvement in the bank's CRA activities.

Total market and personal commercial loan portfolio balances of approximately $180 million, without the assistance of a portfolio manager.

Personally ranked #1 in every major category in the entire company amongst all likewise lenders in 2014 including total loan production, fee income, and referrals.

Out of 65 total individual lenders, placed as follows in the Bank's Annual Commercial Loan Campaign: 2nd in 2016, 1st in 2015, 5th in 2014, and 3rd in 2013.

Duties included requirements of meeting consumer and commercial sales goals, coaching staff on proper sales techniques, conducting weekly reviews of performance, and adhering to local and federal regulations. USBank, Proctorville, OH

Branch Manager of a retail bank in southern Ohio. Responsible for human resource duties, sales and operations results, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, business banking, building customer relationships, providing leadership to staff at all levels, and many other duties as required. Trained new branch employees on both operations and sales. Acted as the small business banker for the market. Originated small business loans and larger SBA transactions for the banking center. Directly responsible for the management of six employees.

Ranked #1 in the both the district and region out of over 40 branches in revenue growth year over year.

Won Quarterly Pinnacle Award; Reserved for the top 10% of branch managers within the region.

Took over a struggling branch and improved it to Decile ranking 1 from their original Decile ranking of 9. This was a ranking system among branches based on revenue with a scale of 1-10, with 1 being the highest.

Over 100% of plan on multiple sales campaigns during time within the office.

Received an acceptable audit rating during time as manager. The office had not received an acceptable ranking within the past five years, as the previous best was a “watch” rating.

Had zero turnover during time within the office. Interviewed and hired three staff members within my first week in the office, as turnover was an issue previously with the branch.

Assistant Vice President-Branch Sales Manager 2/2004 to 4/2009

HSBC North America/Beneficial Finance, Gallipolis, OH

Leader of consumer finance/lending branch sales team for HFC/Beneficial. As the Branch Sales Manager, was responsible for managing the daily activities and operations of a consumer loan branch. Recruited, interviewed, and trained new employees, processed payroll, completed daily and monthly audits, devised marketing plans, and conducted daily sales meetings with staff and management. Specialized in consumer lending functions, provided financial advising, and oversaw loss mitigation efforts. Managed financial direction for two teams, located in Portsmouth, OH and Gallipolis, OH. The two branches had $60 million and $43 million in outstanding loan balances respectively. Branch loan portfolio managed consisted of mortgages, home equity lines, auto loans, and various personal loans. Four lenders and two administrative assistants were under my supervision.

Finished Ranked #4 out of over 1500 branches nationwide for year-end 2007.

Invited to 3 Presidents' Council Meetings. Reserved for the top 5% producing managers nationwide.

Exceeded growth plan for three consecutive years by over 150% resulting in being awarded “A Circle of Excellence Award.” Distinguished award for the top 10% of managers in production nationwide.

Multiple winner of top producing Branch Sales Manager of the month and quarter. Award given to the one manager within ten branches of the district with the top total sales production.

Recipient of the Division's 2008 Leadership Award. Prestigious award given to one of over 100 division staff members. Received due to planning and executing above company standards including communications, operations, and human resource policies.
