Supply Chain Business Plan & distribution Manager, Houston, Texas (2008 to April 2012)

Managed successfully complex multi-million dollar projects through the Supply Chain process with the

partnership of Geo Market personnel. Projects such Chevron Gorgon in Australia -2011, Conoco Phillips

Indonesia Intelligent Well System project-2011, Nobel Israel Tamar project-2011, Petrobras Tupi IWS

phase I project-2011 and numerous others.

Project/Production Manager, Houston, Texas (2006 to 2008)

Successfully project managed, from concept to operation through the AFE process, the expansion of

Emmott Rod manufacturing capacity of the Inflatable product line, which includes specialized equipment

such as Excluder, rubber wrapping, grinder, auto clays, and materials handling and modernization of the

WIP storage devices.

Successfully improved Emmott Road’s internal casting operation which consistently produced over $1M

annually to support the Liner Hangers, Fishing and Packer product lines.

Manufacturing Support Manager, Houston, Texas (2004 to 2006)

Managed and led a successful continual improvement team at the Emmott Road facility in Houston, Texas.

A team, staffed with 4 degreed engineers, who reduced Emmott Road’s manufacturing waste, increased

labor efficiency and product throughput. The team in the first year reduced the machines’ set up processes

by over 42,000 labor hours and 12,000 hours more in fiscal year 2005. Also, from concept to production,

deployed a new way to safely pressure test Liner Hangers and Inflatable tools to comply with HS&E and

lean principle requirements. All using the AFE process. This concept has been used effectively since, and

implemented worldwide in the BOT manufacturing and operational facilities around the world.

Manufacturing Engineering Manager (2001 to 2004)

Managed and led a manufacturing engineering department of 18 employees with an annual budget of over

$5 million.

Successfully realigned the manufacturing engineering resources to support the Emmott Road facility

initiative to increase weekly output by over 75%. An initiative which helped BOT to sustain the global

market share of Liner Hangers.

Successfully implemented lean manufacturing techniques, which resulted in over $6 millions in savings in

the first year. Among the lean techniques used: process mapping to constantly evaluate and improve internal

processes from order entry to shipping by identifying and eliminating manufacturing waste; Kaizen blitz

leading to the formation of a factory within the factory with its respective manufacturing cells and natural

work unit teams; SMED (single minute of exchange of die) to decrease labor hours, increase capacity and

keep manufacturing processes flexible to meet customer demand on a daily basis; and Five’s and equipment

PM to sustain the attained process improvements.

Manufacturing Support Manager, Broken Arrow, Ok (1998 to 2001)

Managed part of the internal divisional consulting group, a group that drove culture change, implemented

lean manufacturing practices at 9 facilities in the U.S., Europe, Latin America, and Asia.

Facilitated the implementation of team based management, managed the set up reduction initiative and other

broad range of lean projects in the USA and Latin American facilities resulting in 65% production

improvement with 20% reduction in headcount.

Managed the initiative to improve the manufacturing product flow of the Maracaibo, Venezuela plant

increasing shipment from $8 millions to $12 millions with no additional machines or headcount.

Contributed to the creation of the continuous improvement culture throughout the division by sharing best

manufacturing and lean practices. This resulted over half a millions dollars in annually savings.

Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, Broken Arrow, Ok (1995 to 1998)

Designed a new safety valve testing cell concept which improved valve testing capacity by 75% and

improved overall safety during the equipment-rigging-up process.

Researched the 718 inconel metal behavior during metal cutting. This research led to the design of a new

collet system (flow tube holding tools) which significantly reduced the flow tubes egging and warping

problems during the turning and boring processes.

Led the Broken Arrow Setup reduction program, which resulted by over 65% reduction of equipment set up

time.

Led the shop Tool Tech program, where new metal cutting technologies were brought into the plant. They

contributed to the reduction of inconel cutting time by 50%. Implemented successfully the last three new

generations of metal cutting insert grades, which contributed to a speed up all of the Broken Arrow metal

cutting processes.

Member of the Broken Arrow continuous Improvement Team that implemented lean techniques such as

Kaizen Blitz, 5S, Set-up Reduction, TPM, Visual Display Management, Value Stream Mapping, Cellular

Manufacturing, and Global Flow Analysis; an initiative which led the effort to win the “Oklahoma Quality

Award for Excellence” for the best quality plant in the state of Oklahoma in 1997.

BW/IP International, Inc. Pump Division, OEM of Centrifugal Pumps and Submersible Motors.

Manufacturing Engineer, Tulsa, Oklahoma (1991-1995)

Managed from the cradle to the grave the Plant Capital Appropriation Program which included justification,

implementation, and installation of major capital projects of equipment acquisition and facility

improvement. Also, supervised the plant maintenance personnel and outside contractors to successfully

complete capital projects.

Managed the Plant’s continuous improvement strategy which improved tooling, manufacturing techniques,

shortening the stator and rotor heating cycle from five hours to less than one hour; resulted in improving

over all plant manufacturing cycle times by over 30% without adding headcount or equipment.

Co-managed with the quality manager the plant farm-out strategy including high technical turn key

projects such as the manufacturing of eight 800 kW generators, a $2 million project, manufactured by

Remsa of Mexico City, Mexico.

Co-established with the engineering manager the plant’s early concurrent engineering effort which reduced

the over all design of submersible pumps by over 25%. This was possible by involving all personnel from

the manufacturing shop to approve designs for manufacturability and to stream line production and testing

activities.

Analyzed in-plant manufacturing methods to identify production constraints and to select key components to

farm out; this resulted on a throughput improvement of customer orders by over 40%.
