MUD ENGINEER

• Knowledge of various mud systems

• Control mud system on rig site including: mud testing, mud treatment and conditioning.

• Ensure correct handling and storage of drilling chemicals on rig site.

• Prepare and maintain mud properties as per mud program at low cost and trouble free operation.

• Perform daily laboratory tests when required to ensure

Drilling fluid properties are according to prescribed program.

• cooperate with company man in matters concerning the

Drilling fluids and related mud problems.

• Check the quantity of mud materials on board and ensure having enough materials for each operation with

having enough materials for each operation with assistance of base Area Engineer

• analyze the formation types into the well bore is drill

• Supervise and right procedures mixing mud materials to ensure proper amounts

• Report to company man and coordinate with Area Eng. the daily situation of mud/ drilling fluids in respect to quantities, operation, ect...

• Perform volume and hydraulics calculations, routine and specialized testing
