Supervised 16 employees in a production/assemblyline environment. Set
up production line to enhance production flow and productivity;
monitored product for quality issues that related to customer
specifications; entered data into a daily production report related to
production and vendor damages. Received, unloaded, and processed
incoming items reporting over, short or damaged conditions. Checked
and visually and physically examined a variety of incoming
material.Selected items for shipment or issue verifying or preparing
documentation either manually or by using automated equipment. Checked
lists showing stock identification changes to insure that the proper
itemswere selected and assembled for issuance. Used a Radio Frequency
(RF) handheld to determine picks. Picked by priority or by what had to
be pulled in the area with emergency picks done immediately. Also
considered lower priorities that had not been packed in a reasonable
amount of time. Received material designated for immediate shipment and
scheduled for release.Packed and repacked items for shipment utilizing
a wide variety of standard packing materials, methods and techniques.
Determined appropriate method of packing based on type of
commodity/item to be packed. Used a computer system to accomplish the
following duties; process receipts and stow material. Operated the
following materials handling equipment which included,but was not
limited to, fork lifts with a lift capability of lifting loads weighing
up to 10,000 pounds, shanklin machine, etc., to move, transfer and/or
transport material. Assembled items inti groups and separated according
to condition, type, and routed it to the appropriate processing line.
Checked the condition of the package prior to loading by properly
loading material onto the right conveyor. Stood on hard surfaces for
extended periods of time. Bending, stooping, and working in tiring and
uncomfortable positions. Lifted and carried items weighing up to 40
pounds. Use weight handling equipment or received assistance from other
workers for items heavier than 40 pounds.
