Handling of and maintaining confidentiality of all documents pertaining to medical records and the medical records department. I used my customer service experience and communication skills by speaking with patients, insurance companies, physicians and their office staff in person and on the telephone. In addition to organizing the medical records department, I prepared patients' charts for regularly scheduled audits, maintained office equipment such as: the fax machine, copy machine, computers, and printers. Everyday duties included but were not limited to: filing patients' charts efficiently and apprpriately, delivering and retrieving of all messages pertaining to prescriptions, labs, and general requests, answer telephone calls and directing the calls to the appropriate team member while continuing to provide superior quality personal care.
1997-1999 Lead Teacher, Daydreams and Doodles Daycare Center
In the lead teacher position, it was my daily responsibility to create lesson plans along with physical and educational activities. I tended to all the needs of the children, including but not limited to: feeding, changing, holding, and putting to sleep while maintaining a clean and sterile daycare environment.
1997-1999 Office Assistant, Michigan Employee Benefit Services
I was in charge of managing the company's telephone switchboard, scheduling meeting appointments for company supervisors, and maintained the daily processes for the office. The processes included: faxing, and mailing of official documents, became familiar with computer software such as Microsoft Office, file clients' personal information relating to insurance policies while maintaining confidentiality.
