• Responsible for projects from “concept to death” involving injection molded consumer products for the housing industry, including research and development, rapid prototyping, 3D CAD design / drawings, conducting Product Design Team meetings, tooling design approval, Bill Of Materials, production launch, dimensional layouts, and setting measurables for Quality Assurance.

• Knowledgeable in Tool and Die construction and CNC machining ranging in size 75 ton to 2000 ton (Van Dorn, HPM, Engel, Cincinnati Milacron).

• Established Quality control plans to ensure color, dimensions, visuals, and packaging for a wide range of materials including polypropylene, polystyrene, and polycarbonate.

• Continued improvements including cycle times, part handling, and part weights.

• Lead contact for 3rd party inspections by ICC, BBA, Warnock Hersey, ETL, Intertek

• Additional design work related to aluminum castings and extrusions for bending brakes.

- Accomplishments

• Inventor / Co-inventor of 10 design patents.

• Project leader for a $2 million expansion of a custom 100ton compression molded line molding synthetic slate roofing tiles. Developed a process to reproduce real slate tile’s character in a curved injection molded part by digitally scanning silicon masters and CNC machining tools using the generated point cloud data.
