Assigned to a 580MW Gas Fired Combined Cycle Power Plant serving as the project’s subject matter expert on Project Controls issues. Responsibilities for the project include budgeting, cost control, earned value analysis, change management, resource allocation, back charges, manpower/cost forecasting, office/field cost activity coordination and scheduling. Duties include analysis of monthly department budgeting and accounting reports to maintain expenditure controls. Compile and analyze accounting records and other data to determine the financial resources required to implement the project. Consult with managers to ensure that budget adjustments are made in accordance with project changes. Prepare regular and special budget reports. Examine budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures. Perform cost-benefits analyses and review financial requests. Review operating budgets to analyze trends affecting budget needs.

Responsible for providing planning, scheduling and budgeting assistance to Management at the Rocky Flats Plant in Colorado. Specific duties included managing the development of schedules, identification of resource requirements, completion of progress updates, preparation of variance analysis reports and preparation of corrective action plans.

Developed recovery schedules by project milestones and a micro-computer based construction management system utilizing Lotus, dBase, and Primavera.

Assigned to a 3.5 billion dollar Nuclear Power Plant supervising a group with responsibilities consisting of maintenance of the project schedule; and, monthly preparation of the project report. Previously, was assigned as Lead Electrical Raceway Planning Engineer directing a group with duties consisting of maintaining raceway status and issuing a weekly work plan of raceway to be installed to support the project schedule. Other assignments included planning subsystem turn-overs and area releases for the project.

Supervisor of site cost and scheduling at the 280 million dollar Valmy Coal Fired Power Station with overall responsibility for project cost, scheduling, and expediting. In addition, assisted the Project Engineer in evaluating on-site structural calculations and was responsible for executing the miscellaneous buildings erection contract.

Updated project reports and schedules and generated computer plots for the Valmy Coal Fired Power Station.

As a Junior Engineer, worked in the Scheduling Department of a nuclear power plant tracking isometrics to assess contractor progress. Duties also entailed inputting data into the computer for trend analysis.
