2006 to 2008: Joined AREI/OHMC to help turn around a failing business model in the senior housing industry. AREI is a syndicator of senior housing properties to tenant-in-common owners through 1031 exchanges and OHMC manages the properties for the owners. The primary mission as CFO has been to refinance existing properties, evaluate the feasibility of proposed property acquisitions and develop a new sustainable business model.

As a member of the Senior Management Team, some of the significant responsibilities and achievements include:

* Negotiate the refinance of eight properties with a total portfolio value of approximately $100 million

* Oversee investor 1031 exchange qualification

* Restructure equity and debt capital on a portfolio of twenty four senior housing properties

* Review proposed property acquisitions and develop minimum cash flow and return on investment criteria for all projects

1987 to 2002: Recruited as Controller (the most senior financial position in the firm) and named CFO in 1992. Principal charter was to help drive an aggressive growth strategy aimed at expanding the client base and increasing profitability. The original company, the Laird Norton Trust Company, was founded in 1967 to manage the wealth of old-time Seattle families. The Laird Norton Financial Group was formed in 1994 to hold three operating subsidiaries.

As a member of the Senior Management team, responsibilities and achievements included:

* Taking a lead role in setting the strategic direction of the company and identifying target markets in the high net worth marketplace resulting in a ten-fold growth in assets under management

* Developing performance metrics for comparison to industry standards

* Performing due diligence on two key acquisitions

* Designing, implementing and supervising an internal audit program using a top-down, risk-based approach

* Designing and monitoring regulatory (Washington State and SEC) and accounting (GAAP) policy compliance

* As Audit Committee liaison, developed Audit Committee Charter based on Blue Ribbon Committee guidelines

* Developing an outsourcing strategy for significant back office operations

* Developing a company-wide technology strategy

* Supervising pooled investment fund valuation and reporting including audited financial statements
