Lowered cost center production costs by finding defect causes/solutions, reduced defect parts caused by associates, reduced defect parts by correct storage and transportation, communicated about defect parts to suppliers, called SQA in for investigations.

Replaced defect tool on assembly lines (powered by air pressure),

Adjusted torque on hand tools like battery guns, torque wrench.

• Test drives with new E-34, finding squeak and rattle noise, or rolling objects

Significant Improvements:

• 1999: Rewarded with a bonus payment of $10.000 for an improvement idea, two parts became unnecessary by changing one assembly process.

• 1997: Rewarded with a bonus payment over $20.000 for an improvement idea, rearranging delivered parts from Logistic, handed parts directly from racks to car instead preassembling them.

• 1992: Rewarded with a bonus payment over $60.000 for an improvement idea, savings for BMW within the following two years over $2.5 Millions. Decreased a metal heat shield at the underbody, wrote and drew in detail the design of new heat shield, tightened it with only two screws instead of three, therefore able to lower tact time for associate on line, saved also one screw and one bolt of each car.
