I am currently employed as a dental assistant with Dr. Hull. Daily duties and responsibilites include assisting Dr. Hull with all chairside procedures such as Crown preparations, composite/amalgam fillings, root canals and extractions, fabricating and cementing temporaries, taking xrays and exposing them, impression taking and various other assistant duties.

For 16 yrs I worked as a CDT for Hammer Dental Labs in the Porcelain and Implant department. My daily responsibilities included porcelain build up, carving and finshing of crown and bridge cases, some model work and overseeing all implant cases start to finish including case planning with the dentist and chairside assisting when it came time to cement the case. It is there that I became interested in assisting chairside. For the past 2 years, I would then fill in at offices of our customers when they needed someone to assist and when the lab was slow. I then went to school and became certified in both dental assisting and oral radiography for the state of Georgia.

Throughout these years, I took various implant courses through Nobel to constantly stay updated on the latest techniques and implant systems available. Most classes focused on the pros and cons of certain systems, how to choose abutments and fabricating tissue models and surgical stints.
