Conitex Sonoco is a global company who manufactures paper cones and tubes as well as corrugated pallets. Because of the decline in textiles Conitex Sonoco moved into other packaging such as labels, tags, printers, printer/applicators, offset printing and software of which I am market manager and top sales professional. Conitex Sonoco also offers stretch film, strapping, bulk bags, bale wrap, BOPP bags and PP bags. I am also the primary salesman for the BOPP bags and PP Bags for the animal feed, seed and grain industries.

I merged my company Foothills Tag and Label into the Conitex Sonoco label division. I trained four sales personnel as well as four customer service personnel in the tag and label industry. This division has been successfully merged into Conitex Sonoco. This division grew at least 30% each year until 2009 and is beginning a growth period in the last quarter. I develop key vendor relationships in all areas of the tag and label division as well as setting the profit margin which consistently is 20%

In February of 2009 I was asked to develop a customer base for BOPP bags and PP bags. I researched the animal feed market in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. I then made an initial phone call to establish who the key decision maker was as concerns to purchasing of BOPP and PP bags. After the phone call I mailed a sample of our BOPP bag as well as an introductory letter from me, with a brief profile of our philosophy at Conitex Sonoco. I then began to set up appointments for sales calls and I have been successful in developing a foothold in the market. My background in printing has helped tremendously as I have an understanding of numerous printing processes. I would comment that I have enjoyed meeting the people in the animal feed industry and I look forward to forging new relationships in this industry
