I went to work at the age of fourteen in 1964 while still going to school.After graduation

I went to work at Mid State Paper Box Co. in Asheboro N.C. I worked my way from the bottom

end of the business after two years. Mid State sent me to Randolph Community College to learn

management,quality control,and safety training.I received a certificate in all courses. At the age

of twentyone I became assiatant superintendant . I worked there until December of 1979. I was

approched by a company in Radford,Va.,called Old Colony Box Co. Old Colony asked me to

help reorganize there operation and help run the company. Both companies manufactuered gift

boxes and packaging products for major department stores all over the United States.I was in

charge of operations,employees,inventories,quality control,shipping and receiving and safety.

Refrences will show I am very reliable to handle any of these duities I have mentioned.In 2000

Old Colony Box co. decieded to sell the company to Boxit Corp. in Cleveland,Ohio. I did”t want

to go to Cleveland because I really don”t care for the climate up there. I started my own cleaning

business ,Batten Cleaning Service Inc. I had already been doing this for two years because the

President of Old Colony Box let me know about the selling of the company. My cleaning service

worked for the FNB Corp,which was one of the largest independent in Virgina. We cleaned thirty

buildings from October of 2000 until March of 2009. FNB merged with Virgina Group to become

Stellar One Corp.They already had another cleaning service and we lost our account. I decided

to look for another management position in the south I can relocate for the right company.
