Qualifications__________________________________________________
Tool & Die Lead/Supervisor
● Attend daily staff meetings to address daily needs for production
● Troubleshoot various mold & die production issues, concentrating on repetitive problems while still addressing daily production problems.
● Coordinate information such as inspection reports, steel prints, problem history, and get information from all persons with relevant knowledge of issues to make the best possible repair solution.
● Initiate repairs by costing work in house and through competitive quoting at approved tool shops.
● Direct and oversee tool room personnel on tooling repairs and assist them with any job related issues, while still promoting a continued improvement environment.
● Compose basic spread sheets needed to assist in organizing and tracking all projects, inventory, employee information etc. to help improve and maintain efficiency.
● Update autocad files to maintain correct prints for tool vendors and in house tool room.
● Assist with developing ISO procedure documents.
● Assist with jig, fixture and gauge designs for various job or part requirements.
Mold Maker
● Perform changeovers on molds that produce multiple variations of base parts with some having up to 50 different dash numbers.
● Maintain and rebuild Husky & Moldmaster hot runner systems, both valve gated and hot tip systems.
● Assist with and or repair production floor tooling and general production issues from altering steel to removing stuck plastic.
● Maintain and repair a variety of injection molds like 2 plate, 3 plate and insert molds.
● Perform complete mold teardowns to proactively repair common mold problems at specific intervals. {Key Maintenance}
● Maintain mold accessory systems, such as electronic core pulls, vision systems, RJG cavity pressure transducer monitoring systems, used for sorting bad parts and process tracking.
Tool & Die Maker
● Repair and maintain general building equipment such as shafts, bearings, broken bolts etc…
● Run daily tool room equipment including grinders, lathes, mills, gig grinder, ID OD grinder, ram & wire EDM, heat treat etc…
● Maintain and repair a wide variety of progressive dies that produce appliance and automotive components used to make assorted timers and switches.
● Perform teardowns to do complete sharpening and condition assessments at specific intervals to proactively repair common problems. {Key Maintenance}
● Provide support and make repairs to three Bihler machines. They are high speed stamping presses (200 SPM). I also trained several operators to run these presses.
● Make jigs, fixtures, punches, inserts for dies, molds, Bihlers etc

● Assisted in the design and building of dies & molds that reduced change over and setup times on assorted parts.
● Designed and made universal material supports to accommodate multiple die sets reducing setup time.
● Had a gauge built that simulated the secondary mold operation of a base part that had insertion problems and was causing scrap, the gauge reduced excessive scrap and mold damage.
● Recommended material specification changes that were implemented which reduced down time and scrap.
● I am proficient in inspection methods and root cause analysis.
● Have had communicative Lead Person training and also trained in Poka-Yoke, TPM, SPC, SMEAD, Lock out tag out, Forklift, Fire Extinguishing, RJG training and Sexual harassment.
